The brief was for a new headquarters building to consolidate Designcraft Furniture’s showroom and two factories under the one roof. An iconic building was desired to augment the public profile of a growing business.

The design of this building fully explores the linear ‘saw-tooth’ form, which was selected for its ESD potential and for its iconography as the prototypical factory form. The orientation of the building and the ‘saw-tooth’ section facilitates natural cross-ventilation and distributed high-level natural day lighting.
