Our Practice

Townsend + Associates Architects is Canberra based and was established in 1993 by Bruce and Catherine Townsend. The practice has achieved recognition for high quality design and construction work encompassing small and large commercial projects, single residences and significant multi-unit residential works.

Townsend + Associates Architects is regarded as one of the leading architectural firms in the Canberra context and has been awarded twenty-three ACT Chapter AIA Architectural Awards and a National Robin Boyd Award for Housing (Commendation). While primarily concentrating on larger projects, the office maintains an interest in single residential works. This assists the practice in continuing the exploration of architectural design whilst maintaining an experimental attitude.
